Apparently the big wigs and head honchos who secretly run Coney Island have extended there "demolition" of the entire place untill NEXT summer. while i am not happy, because they shouldnt tear down the place at all, i was a little relieved. So i took a stroll down memory lane again, but this time i dont plan on going back at all this summer. When i went to Coney, the thing that really bothered me the most is the fact that the grandmother fortune teller machine is gone. I have an old shot from some random day or whatever,
But what really pisses me off is the fact that it was replaced with a PEPSI
machine! i guess all those old fortune stubs that i have laying around are
now collectible. I remember last summer it stopped working, kinda weird since at that time major companies were buying up land to tear shit down.
To the left is a link, of my adventure of the disappearing Grandma's Fortune Teller, also i have bad camera holding skillz wordl.
But anyway! walking has been fun. It was really cold for some reason yesterday and so since i did not bring a hoodie or anything i was forced to buy one at a souvenier shop that says Coney Island on it, so it made me look like a tourist, and since i was carrying a camera around mad vendors were calling to me to play there games.
I think the most interesting part itself is visiting the abandoned parts of Coney. Or atleast the industrial part, i usually get this sense of nostalgia, a feeling that a long history or events took place right where i stood.
Then you can also find some really interesting things istelf just walking around. For example to my right is a really nice steel art piece, its to bad i dont know who did it but who ever did it, did a very nice job. Especially near the Coney Island Arts center, which to me seems shu t down, along with a few vendors.
The freakshow, i give this place 5 stars for its originality, i dont know what the freak folks plan on doing after this summer though. ANd on the right is shoot the freak which isnt really a freak but some guy in a mask and holds a shield, he does this little dance when people shoot at him. I kinda feel bad for him in a way as people make a living off this i guess.
And this is the overview of Shoot the freak on the boardwalk.

Very simple, one documentary helped mend my mind in creative ways: The Aristocrats, i recommend it, even though the documentary has more to do about comedy, the best thing to do is let your mind run free and explore any possibility.
Sadly i have been neglecting my Vox blog (mainly due to the fact that i have a paid account on LJ), i want to go out and take pictures but i have been hibernating in my place or residence. I do how ever read my Vox blog everyday, not that i have friends on here, i do like to read the updates or look at the art work around here.
